THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CENTRAL LARIMER COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL COLORADO

* UNTIL 745 PM MDT

* AT 539 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
VERY HEAVY RAIN HAD FALLEN 10 MILES WEST OF MISHOWAKA...OR ABOUT 27 
MILES WEST OF FORT COLLINS. A LINE OF STORMS EXTENDS FROM AROUND 
CAMERON PASS TO RUSTIC.  THE STORMS PRODUCING THE HEAVY RAIN WERE 
MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

CREEKS AND STREAMS THAT COULD BE IMPACTED BY THESE STORMS INCLUDE:  
SHEEP CREEK...BENNETT CREEK BOTH OF WHICH FEED INTO THE CACHE LA 
POUDRE RIVER.  RADAR ESTIMATES UP TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN 
NEAR HIGHWAY 14 ABOUT 10 MILES WEST OF MISHOWAKA.  

LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE...BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO... 
MISHOWAKA AND RUSTIC.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. 
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. 
RESIDENTS LIVING AND THOSE CAMPING ALONG THE CACHE LA POUDRE RIVER 
SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. 

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN 
DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS ABANDON IT 
IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THEXSE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF 
CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADS AND ROADSIDE CULVERTS. THE HEAVY RAINS 
COULD ALSO TRIGGER ROCK AND MUDSLIDES IN STEEP TERRAIN.
