* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  BENZIE COUNTY IN NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN
  MANISTEE COUNTY IN NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN

* UNTIL 400 AM EDT

* AT 1202 AM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF
  VERY HEAVY RAIN DEVELOPING OVER LAKE MICHIGAN AND REPEATEDLY MOVING
  ACROSS BENZIE AND MANISTEE COUNTIES.

* DOPPLER RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES BETWEEN 2 AND 4 INCHES OF RAIN
FELL OVER PARTS OF THESE COUNTIES BETWEEN 9 PM AND MIDNIGHT. RAINFALL
RATES AS HIGH AS 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THESE
COUNTIES THROUGH 4 AM EDT.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADWAYS AND UNDERPASSES...AS WELL AS OTHER
DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHE#N WATER BEGINS RISING.
