000 WGUS51 KALY 032052 FFWALY NYC113-040245- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBANY NY 452 PM EDT FRI AUG 3 2001 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY HAS ISSUED A * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR WARREN COUNTY IN EASTERN NEW YORK * UNTIL 1045 PM EDT * AT 441 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN ACROSS SOUTHERN WARREN COUNTY AND A SERIES OF ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE AREA FROM THE WEST. IN ADDITION... SEVERAL INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN OVER THIS AREA. SOME LOCATIONS IN THE PATH OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL THROUGH 1045 PM EDT INCLUDE... STONY CREEK...WEST GLENS FALLS... GLENS FALLS... GARNET LAKE... LAKE GEORGE VILLAGE... WARRENSBURG... * OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE LAKE LUZERNE. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADS AND ROADSIDE CULVERTS. THE HEAVY RAINS COULD ALSO TRIGGER ROCK AND MUDSLIDES IN STEEP TERRAIN.
