THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHERN LINCOLN COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW MEXICO

* UNTIL 230 PM MDT

* AT 135 PM MDT...SKYWARN SPOTTERS REPORTED HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH 
FLOODING IN AND NEAR RUIDOSO. RADAR HAS ESTIMATED BETWEEN 0.75 AND 
ONE INCH OF RAIN HAS FALLEN SINCE 115 PM MDT FROM A CLUSTER OF SLOW 
MOVING THUNDERSTORMS IN THE RUIDOSO AREA. RUNOFF FROM THE HEAVY 
RAINS WILL RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING ACROSS PARTS OF THE SOUTHERN 
LINCOLN COUNTY...INCLUDING RECENT BURN AREAS.  

DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. MANY FLASH 
FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.
