THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  BROWN COUNTY IN NORTHEAST KANSAS
  NEMAHA COUNTY IN NORTHEAST KANSAS

* UNTIL 930 PM CDT

* AT 635 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG 
THUNDERSTORMS...WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN MOVING INTO BOTH BROWN AND 
NEMAHA COUNTIES. THE RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR SEVERAL HOURS 
AND CAUSE FLASH FLOODING. THE GROUND IS SATURATED FROM PREVIOUS 
RAINS, AND CONSIDERABLE RUNOFF WILL OCCUR.

RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND
STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY ROADS AND FARMLANDS
ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT
TO FLASH FLOODING.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
