TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

   EASTERN COLORADO                           
   THE SOUTHERN NEBRASKA PANHANDLE                           
   EXTREME SOUTHEAST WYOMING                            

EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 230 PM UNTIL 800
PM MDT.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS
TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 55 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST
OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF SCOTTSBLUFF NEBRASKA TO
45 MILES EAST SOUTHEAST OF TRINIDAD COLORADO.

SERN CO...AND ADDITIONAL CONVECTION IS FORMING NEAR THE ERN SLOPES
OF THE CO ROCKIES.  STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO PROPAGATE SEWD INTO
MOIST LOW LEVEL AIR MASS WHERE SELY UPSLOPE WINDS WILL ENHANCE
CONVECTIVE DEVELOPMENT.  CLOUDS HAVE THINNED OVER PARTS OF NERN CO
AND SERN CO AWAY FROM THE PALMER DIVIDE...AND THESE AREAS MAY
EXPERIENCE STRONGEST HEATING/DESTABILIZATION.  30-40 KT WNWLY FLOW
IN THE MID LEVELS IS CONTRIBUTING TO STRONG DEEP LAYER SHEAR
SUPPORTIVE OF A FEW TORNADIC SUPERCELLS.


AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
