SOUTH CENTRAL RIVERSIDE COUNTY IN CALIFORNIA * UNTIL 300 PM PDT * AT 200 PM PDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN CONTINUING TO FALL OVER THE MOUNTAINS AND NEARBY DESERT AREA OF RIVERSIDE COUNTY ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTH OF PALM SPRINGS. THE THUNDERSTORM WAS NEARLY STATIONARY...AND WILL AFFECT LOCATIONS SUCH AS PALM DESERT. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADS AND ROADSIDE CULVERTS. THE HEAVY RAINS COULD ALSO TRIGGER ROCK AND MUDSLIDES IN STEEP TERRAIN. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
