THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN BENTON COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI
  NORTHERN MORGAN COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI

* UNTIL 700 AM CDT

* AT 325 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL FROM NEAR VERSAILLES TO 
  COLE CAMP...MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.  ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS 
  PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL EXTENDED FURTHER WEST OF THE AREA. 
  DOPPLER RADAR AND SATELLITE RAINFALL ESTIMATES INDICATED THAT UP 
  TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN ACROSS THESE AREAS SINCE MIDNIGHT.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE 
  FLASH FLOODING TO OCCUR.  ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO 
  TWO INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH 6 AM...WHICH WILL ENHANCE THE 
  FLOODING POTENTIAL ACROSS NORTHERN BENTON AND NORTHERN MORGAN 
  COUNTIES.SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH FLOODING 
  INCLUDE...VERSAILLES...STOVER AND COLE CAMP.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUxBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
