THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  GUILFORD COUNTY IN NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 645 AM EDT

* AT 349 AM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER THE WARNED AREA .

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE PAST SEVERAL HOURS CONTINUE
TO PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAINFALL BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES. ANOTHER
1 TO 2 INCHES MAY FALL THROUGH 630 AM.

SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL RAPIDLY FLOOD...POSSIBLY WASHING OUT
ROADS AND FLOODING NEARBY LOW AREAS. DO NOT DRIVE WHERE WATER COVERS
THE ROAD. THE CURRENT WILL LIKELY BE VERY SWIFT WITH ENOUGH FORCE TO
SWEEP YOUR CAR AWAY. KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM RAIN-SWOLLEN CREEKS AND
STORM DRAINS.

NEVER CROSS FLOWING WATER. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSS2IBLE TO DETERMINE THE
DEPTH... ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT.
