THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHOENIX HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  FAR NORTHWESTERN MARICOPA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA

* UNTIL 1 AM MST SUNDAY

* ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO AFFECT FAR
NORTHWEST MARICOPA COUNTY AS OF 1055 AM. ALTHOUGH RAINFALLS WITH
THESE STORMS IS NOT VERY HEAVY...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR FAR
NORTHWEST MARICOPA HAS BEEN REISSUED DUE TO CURRENT AND EXPECTED
RUNOFF AND FLOODING FROM HEAVY RAINFALL EARLIER TONIGHT.

AT 1045 PM...A SPOTTER IN WICKENBURG REPORTED THAT STATE ROUTE 93
WAS CLOSED JUST NORTH OF WICKENBURG DUE TO HIGH WATER. SOLS WASH HAS
GONE OUT OF ITS BANKS...WHICH HAS RESULTED IN FLOODING IN COFFINGER
PARK IN WICKENBURG. RADAR INDICATES THAT IN EXCESS OF 3 INCHES OF
RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER A SMALL AREA JUST NORTH AND WEST OF WICKENBURG
BETWEEN 830 PM AND 1030 PM.  VULTURE MINE ROAD HAS BEEN CLOSED DUE
TO HIGH WATER...AND MOTORISTS STRANDED BETWEEN LOW WATER AREAS HAVE
HAD TO BE RESCUED BY HELICOPTER.  HIGH WATER MAY THREATEN PATTON
ROAD AS FLOW FROM THE HASSAYAMPA RIVER AFFECTS THE AREA JUST SOUTH
OF WICKENBURG.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY
AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS, ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK X
HIGHER GROUND.
