THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN NEW CASTLE COUNTY IN NORTHERN DELAWARE

* UNTIL 630 PM EDT.

* AT 423 PM EDT...THE AUTOMATIC GAGE ON THE CHRISTINA RIVER AT
  COOCHS BRIDGE WAS AT 8.5 FEET. FLOOD STAGE IS 9 FEET. WHILE
  THE HEAVIEST RAIN IS OVER...RUNOFF FROM THE NEARLY 2 INCHES
  OF RAIN THAT HAS FALLEN EARLIER THROUGH THE CHRISTINA
  BASIN MUST RUN THROUGH THE RIVER SYSTEM. THE RIVER IS EXPECTED
  TO CREST BETWEEN 9.0 AND 9.5 FEET AROUND 500 PM.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT DRIVE
YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER
DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES
CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER
GROUND.
