THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EASTERN MONMOUTH COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW JERSEY

* UNTIL 400 PM EDT.

* AT 100 PM EDT...THE OAKHURST FIRE DEPARTMENT IN EASTERN MONMOUTH 
COUNTY REPORTED 4.97 INCHES OF RAIN TODAY. NUMEROUS ROADS HAVE BEEN 
FLOODED AND ARE CLOSED IN THIS AREA.

HIGH TIDES WILL ALSO ADD TO THE FLOOD PROBLEMS AS STREAM LEVELS 
INCREASE DUE TO THE INCOMING TIDES. HIGH TIDES IS BETWEEN 330 AND 
430 THIS AFTERNOON.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND 
STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. 

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT DRIVE
YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER
DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES
CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER
GROUND.
