THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WAYNE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI

* UNTIL 615 AM CDT

* AT 413 AM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT AS 
  MUCH AS 3.25 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN IN THE PAST HOUR ACROSS
  PORTIONS OF WAYNE COUNTY NORTHEAST OF GREENVILLE.  THE STORMS THAT 
  WERE PRODUCING THIS HEAVY RAINFALL WERE NEARLY STATIONARY.  IN 
  ADDITION...ANOTHER STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER MADISON COUNTY WILL 
  MOVE SOUTHEAST ACROSS THIS AREA DURING THE NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS.  

* AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE DURING THE 
  NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS.  THIS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL...COMBINED WITH THE 
  HEAVY RAIN THAT HAS ALREADY FALLEN ACROSS THIS AREA...SHOULD
  RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING OVER MAINLY EASTERN PORTIONS OF WAYNE 
  COUNTY.  

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
