THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN UPTON NY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...

  IN SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT...
     EASTERN FAIRFIELD...

* UNTIL 1000 PM EDT...

* AT 725 PM HEAVY RAIN WAS FALLING ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN 
PORTION OF FAIRFIELD COUNTY. DOPPLER RADAR IS SHOWING A RAINFALL 
RATE OF AROUND 2 INCHES PER HOUR WHICH MAY CONTINUE FOR ANOTHER 
COUPLE OF HOURS BEFORE EXITING THE COUNTY.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL 
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.
