THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN UPTON NY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...

  IN SOUTHEASTERN NEW YORK STATE...
     QUEENS...

* UNTIL 200 PM EDT...

* AT 1004 AM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  ANOTHER AREA OF HEAVY RAIN JUST SOUTH OF FIRE ISLAND...MOVING
  NORTH AT 30 MPH.  THIS AREA WILL BEGIN MOVING ACROSS THE EASTERN
  HALF OF QUEENS BY 1030 AM.  THIS AREA HAS ALREADY RECEIVED OVER
  1 1/2 INCHES OF RAIN THIS MORNING AND NEW YORK CITY OEM REPORTS
  FLOODED STREETS IN THE SPRINGFIELD GARDENS AREA.  AN ADDITIONAL
  1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH 100 PM ACROSS THE
  WARNING AREA...CAUSING ADDITIONAL FLOODING.

* SOME FLOOD PRONE LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING AREA INCLUDE LOW WATER
  UNDERPASSES.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY! VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE
TO HIGHER GROUND.
