959 WUUS54 KMOB 222138 SVRMOB FLC091-113-222230- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 435 PM CDT SAT JUL 22 2000 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR... OKALOOSA COUNTY IN FLORIDA AND SANTA ROSA COUNTY IN FLORIDA * UNTIL 530 PM CDT * AT 435 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED TWO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. ONE WAS LOCATED IN SANTA ROSA COUNTY NORTHEAST OF MILTON NEAR SPRING HILL. THE OTHER SEVERE STORM WAS OVER OKALOOSA COUNTY JUST SOUTHWEST OF CRESTVIEW. BOTH OF THESE STORMS WILL MOVE TOWARD THE SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH THROUGH 530 PM. SIMILAR STORMS PRODUCED LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS EARLIER THIS AFTERNOON. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. REPORT SEVERE WEATHER TO THE NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY. THEY WILL RELAY YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECAST OFFICE IN MOBILE.
