THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  COLES COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS

* UNTIL 1100 PM CDT

* AT 928 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  VERY HEAVY RAIN HAS FALLEN FROM MATTOON TO CHARLESTON. A HALF TO
  ONE INCH OF RAINFALL HAS BEEN ESTIMATED SINCE 830 PM.

* THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE ACROSS
  THE AREA. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY RANGE FROM
  A HALF TO ONE INCH BY 1030 PM. DUE TO RAINS EARLIER...THESE
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODS. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT AT NIGHT TO JUDGE HOW
MUCH WATER COVERS ROADWAYS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSyS FLOODED ROADWAYS.
