* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  FRANKLIN COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA

* UNTIL 700 AM CDT

* AT 330 AM CDT...LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED SIGNIFICANT FLOODING
  PROBLEMS ACROSS FRANKLIN COUNTY...ESPECIALLY IN THE HILDRETH
  AREA WHERE 5 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN FELL THROUGH 3 AM.  STRONG
  THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH 5 AM IN FRANKLIN COUNTY.

SEVERAL SMALL STREAMS AND TRIBUTARIES ACROSS NORTHERN FRANKLIN
COUNTY WILL REMAIN IN FLOOD THROUGH SUNRISE...WITH WATER OVER
MANY ROADS.  THE KEENE ROAD NORTH OF HILDRETH WAS UNDER WATER...
AND WATER WAS FLOWING OVER THE ROAD AT THE CORNER OF HIGHWAY 10
AND THE UPLAND SPUR.

MUCH OF THIS WATER WILL BE FLOWING INTO THE THOMPSON CREEK...
CAUSING IT TO RAPIDLY RISE.

NEVER ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN
DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...ABANDON IT
IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
D&ANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.
