JACKSON COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA DICKINSON COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA CLAY COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA * UNTIL 600 PM CDT * AT 401 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL OVER THE WARNED AREA. RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH THE REST OF THE AFTERNOON AS WIDESPREAD THUNDERSTORMS MOVE THROUGH THE AREA. TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF LOCALLY 3 TO 4 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
