THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FLAGSTAFF HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CENTRAL YAVAPAI COUNTY IN ARIZONA
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...PRESCOTT...PRESCOTT VALLEY

* UNTIL 930 PM MST

* AT 723 PM MST...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY
  HEAVY RAIN OVER PRESCOTT...TO 5 MILES NORTHWEST OF PRESCOTT AND
  SOUTHEAST TO WALKER.

THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AREA WILL CONTINUE PRODUCING RAINFALL AT A RATE
OVER ONE INCH PER HOUR. THESE STORMS ARE STATIONARY.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES...ESPECIALLY ALONG
HIGHWAY 89 SOUTHWEST OF PRESCOTT. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND
FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING
AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT AS IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
