THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE PA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  LANCASTER COUNTY.

* UNTIL 515 PM EDT.

* AT 209 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL MOVING SLOWLY ACROSS    
  CENTRAL AND NORTHERN LANCASTER COUNTY. 

SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE 
WARNED AREA. RADAR ESTIMATES THAT TWO TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAS 
FALLEN IN LANCASTER...WITH OVER THREE INCHES NEAR EAST PETERSBURG. 
RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF 
SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS...AS WELL AS PONDING OF WATER IN POOR 
DRAINAGE AREAS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD B*E ABANDONED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.
