THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BUFFALO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AND SMALL STREAMS IN..
  SOUTHERN CATTARAUGUS COUNTY IN WESTERN NEW YORK. THIS INCLUDES THE 
  CITY OF SALAMANCA

* UNTIL 1030 PM EDT

* AT 845 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED VERY HEAVY    
  RAIN THAT EXTENDED FROM ALONG THE STATE BORDER NEAR ONOVILLE TO    
  SALAMANCA. THE ACTIVITY WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH.

RADAR ESTIMATES RAINFALL UP TO 3 INCHES IN THE LAST HOUR OVER THE 
CITY OF SALAMANCA. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORM CELSS WILL CROSS THE CITY 
DURING THE NEXT HOUR AND PRODUCE ANOTHER 1 OR TWO OF ADDITIONAL 
RAIN. LOCALIZED STREET AND BASEMENT FLOODING IS LIKELY IN THE 
VICINITY OF SALAMANCA.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY
