THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN STARR COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS
  SOUTHERN JIM HOGG COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS

* UNTIL 1045 PM CDT

* AT 746 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL 10 MILES SOUTHEAST OF       
  GUERRA...OR 16 MILES NORTHEAST OF EL SAUZ...THESE THUNDERSTORMS    
  WERE NEARLY STATIONARY. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED RAINFALL TOTALS    
  BETWEEN 2 AND 4 INCHES OVER THE LAST HOUR.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH       
  FLOODING INCLUDE STATE HIGHWAYS SIX FOUR NINE...TEN SEVENTEEN...   
  AND TWENTY SIX EIGHTY SIX...NEAR THE STARR AND JIM HOGG COUNTY     
  LINE.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
