THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BINGHAMTON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  YATES COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW YORK.

* UNTIL 415 PM EDT.

* AT 111 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL...NEAR MIDDLESEX...OR ABOUT
  OVER POTTER...STATIONARY.

* THE THUNDERSTORM WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL REMAIN OVER THE NORTHWEST
  PART OF YATES COUNTY UNTIL AROUND 2 PM. DOPPLER RADAR HAS ESTIMATED
  THAT AROUND TWO AND ONE HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN ONE HOUR
  NEAR MIDDLESEX AND POTTER. RUNNOFF FROM THIS HEAVY RAIN WILL CAUSE
  SMALL STREAM FLOODING. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.
