THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY IN NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN

* UNTIL 1030 PM EDT

* DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING TORRENTIAL
  RAINFALLS OF OVER AN INCH AN HOUR OVER THE TRAVERSE CITY METRO
  AREA.  NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES
  BETWEEN 1 AND 1.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN OVER THE AREA.
  RADAR INDICATES THAT THIS HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE OVER
  TRAVERSE CITY THROUGH ATLEAST 7 PM.

  THE VERY HEAVY RATE OF RAINFALL OVER A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME WILL
  LIKELY CAUSE STREET FLOODING.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADWAYS AND UNDERPASSES...AS WELL AS OTHER
DRAINAGE AREAS AND L_OW LYING SPOTS.
