THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PUEBLO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CROWLEY COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO
  OTERO COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO
  EASTERN PUEBLO COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO

* UNTIL 450 AM MDT

* AT 145 AM...THE COLORADO STATE PATROL WAS REPORTING RESCUES
  OCCURRING ALONG LOW WATER CROSSINGS ALONG NAPESTA ROAD AND ALONG
  ROUTE 96 IN EXTREME EASTERN PUEBLO COUNTY. FLOODING IS ALSO
  REPORTED ALONG US 50...IN THE VICINITY OF ROUTE 71...AND IN THE
  MANZANOLA AREA. WATER IS REPORTED TO BE FLOWING ACROSS THE ROAD AT
  THESE LOCATIONS.

  DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUES TO INDICATE VERY HEAVY RAIN FALLING IN THE
  LA JUNTA AND SWINK AREAS. RAINFALL RATES OF 1/2 TO 1 INCH AN HOUR
  WERE OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THESE
  AREAS.

  TRAVELERS ALONG US 50 AND HIGHWAY 96 BETWEEN LAS ANIMAS IN BENT
  COUNTY AND AVONDALE IN PUEBLO COUNTY ARE URGED TO USE EXTREME
  CAUTION! DO NOT DRIVE WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD!

IF YOU ARE IN OR CLOSE TO THE WARNED AREA GO TO HIGHER GROUND
IMMEDIATELY.  DO NOT DRIVE OR WALK THROUGH WATER.  YOU NEVER KNOW
HOW DEEP THE WATER REALLY IS.  KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM DRAINAGE
DITCHES AND SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER.
