THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 340 PM CST SUNDAY AFTERNOON FOR PEOPLE IN THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES

IN ARKANSAS
     WASHINGTON

INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS
     FAYETTEVILLE...SPRINGDALE

AT 1236 PM CST WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED MODERATE RAIN 
CONTINUING RAINFALL ACROSS MUCH OF WASHINGTON COUNTY. ALTHOUGH THE 
RAINFALL HAS DECREASED IN INTENSITY IT WILL CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT 2 
OR 3 HOURS. FLOODING HAS BEEN REPORTED ACROSS MUCH OF THE 
FAYETTEVILLE AND SURROUNDING AREAS. SOME CREEKS ARE REPORTED OUT OF 
THEIR BANKS AND ARE FLOODING SOME ROADS.  AS CREEKS AND OTHER SMALL 
STREAMS CONTINUE TO RISE...THIS FLOODING AND THREATS TO LIFE AND 
PROPERTY WILL CONTINUE THROUGH 3 PM EVEN THOUGH THE RAIN MAY END 
BEFORE THEN.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. 
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. 
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE 
PRECAUTIONS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS
OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE 
STALLS...ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL 
CREEKS AND STREAMS.
