THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PUEBLO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHEASTERN CUSTER COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO
  WESTERN PUEBLO COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO

* UNTIL 835 PM MDT

* AT 530 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED A SERIES OF SLOW MOVING
  THUNDERSTORMS HAS PRODUCED BETWEEN 2 AND 4 INCHES OF RAIN IN THE
  GREENWOOD AND WETMORE AREAS OF CUSTER COUNTY AND OVER HIGHWAY 96
  IN EXTREME WESTERN PUEBLO COUNTY.  THE CUSTER COUNTY
  SHERIFF HAS REPORTED NUMEROUS ROADS IN THE WETMORE AREA HAVE BEEN
  WASHED OUT.  HARDSCRABBLE CREEK FROM GREENWOOD TO WETMORE IS
  RUNNING HIGH AND FAST.  HIGHWAY 96 AT THE SILOAM ROAD INTERSECTION
  IS ALSO UNDER WATER.

* THUNDERSTORMS WILL BRING FLOODING RAIN TO WETMORE AND ALONG HIGHWAY
  96 FROM WETMORE TO 12 MILES EAST OF WETMORE THROUGH 630 PM.

EXPECT FURTHER RISES IN HARDSCRABBLE CREEK...AND CONTINUED EROSION
OF ROADWAYS IN THE AREA.

IF YOU ARE IN OR CLOSE TO THE WARNED AREA GO TO HIGHER GROUND
IMMEDIATELY.  DO NOT DRIVE OR WALK THROUGH WATER.  YOU NEVER KNOW
HOW DEEP THE WATER REALLY IS.  KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM DRAINAGE
DITCHES AND SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER.
