000 TTAA00 KMOB 290300 COR TORMOB FLC091-290415- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 958 PM CDT MON SEP 28 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A * TORNADO WARNING FOR... OKALOOSA COUNTY IN NORTHWESTERN FLORIDA * UNTIL 1115 PM CDT * AT 953 PM CDT... DOPPLER RADAR AND SPOTTER REPORTS INDICATE STRONG SQUALLS MOVING OVER OKALOOSA COUNTY FL HAVE PRODUCED SEVERAL SMALL TORNADOES DURING THE LAST 15 MINUTES. MOVEMENT OF THESE TORNADOES WAS TO THE NORTH NORTHWEST AT 20 TO 40 MPH. AT THIS TIME STRONG SQUALLS WITH POSSIBLE TORNADOES WERE MOVING ONSHORE NEAR FT WALTON BEACH. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...SEEK SAFETY IN AN INTERIOR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. USE BLANKETS...PILLOWS...OR CUSHIONS TO COVER YOUR BODY. STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
