FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 110 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI

   ...JACKSON COUNTY

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR CONTINUES TO SHOW HEAVY RAIN OVER
JACKSON COUNTY WITH EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS. RADAR INDICATED
NEARL 2 INCHES OF RAIN DURING THE LAST HOUR OVER NORTHERN JACKSON
COUNTY. DUE TO THE FAST RATE OF RAINFALL AND WHEN RAIN AMOUNTS ARE
ADDED TO PREVIOUS RAINFALL TOTALS...FLASH FLOODING IS LIKELY. RAIN
WILL LIKELY CONTINUE OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. JACKSON COUNTY
SHERIFFS OFFICE REPORTED WATER IN SEVERAL HOMES DUE TO RAINFALL AND
DRAINAGE PROBLEMS IN AND AROUND BAYOUS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING. IF FLOODI6NG IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.
MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING. NEVER DRIVE IN AREAS WHERE WATER
COVERS THE ROAD.
