698 WFUS1 KSAT 112216 RRA TORSAT TXC149-112315- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 409 PM CST SUN JAN 11 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...FAYETTE COUNTY...ESPECIALLY THE CITY OF LA GRANGE... AT 4:09 PM CST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LA GRANGE. MOVEMENT OF THIS STORM WAS TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH...TOWARD THE CITY OF LA GRANGE AND EVENTUALLY CEDAR CREEK RESERVOIR. TWO-INCH DIAMETER HAIL WAS REPORTED WITH THIS STORM AS IT MOVED OVER FLATONIA WITHIN THE PAST HALF HOUR. PEOPLE IN OR NEAR THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION TO PROTECT THEIR LIVES. GO TO THE CENTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR BUILDING...COVER YOUR HEAD. STAY AWAY FROM DOORS AND WINDOWS. DO NOT STAY IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES...GET INTO A STURDY BUILDING.
