...FLOOD WARNING FOR BARBER COUNTY UNTIL 6AM SUNDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DODGE CITY KANSAS HAS ISSUED A FLOOD
WARNING FOR BARBER COUNTY. RADAR AND SURFACE REPORTS OF 5 TO 6
INCHES HAVE FALLEN SINCE YESTERDAY. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE
FORECAST TO MOVE OVER BARBER COUNTY OVERNIGHT WITH ANOTHER 1
TO 3 INCHES POSSIBLE.

AT 600 PM THE BARBER COUNTY SHERIFF WAS REPORTING WATER OVER THE
ROAD ON HIGHWAY K-2 BETWEEN US-281 AND KIOWA...1 TO 2 MILES WEST OF
SHARON ON HIGHWAY 160...AND US-281 JUST EAST OF HARDTNER.

ADDITIONAL FLOODING OF ROADS IS LIKELY AS THE NIGHT WEARS ON.
AREAS ALONG CREEKS AND RIVERBEDS WILL ALSO EXPERIENCE ADDITIONAL
SIGNIFICANT RISES AND POSSIBLE FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE OVER WATER COVERED ROADS ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT WHERE
IT IS HARDER TO JUDGE THE DEPTH OF WATER. SLOW DOWN AND USE EXTREME
CAUTION IF TRAVELLING IN BARBER COUNTY TONIGHT. BE PREPARED TO MOVE
TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF FLOODING THREATENS YOUR AREA.
