000 TTAA00 KCRP 130030 RRA SVRCRP TXC283-130130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CORPUS CHRISTI TX 630 PM CST THU FEB 12 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CORPUS CHRISTI HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...NORTHERN LA SALLE COUNTY AT 625 PM CST DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING INTO NORTHERN LA SALLE COUNTY. THE STORM WAS LOCATED JUST NORTH OF MILLETT AND WAS CROSSING INTERSTATE 35. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 20 TO 25 MPH. LARGE HAIL IN EXCESS OF 1 INCH IS POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM. THIS STORM WILL MOVE BETWEEN COTULLA AND LOS ANGELES BY 650 PM. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER... PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG fBUILDING BUT STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
