000 TTAA00 KBRO 212220 RRA SVRBRO TXC427-212315- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BROWNSVILLE TX 420 PM CST SAT FEB 21 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE TX HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHERN TEXAS ...STARR COUNTY AT 417 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER EXTREME WESTERN STARR COUNTY. THE MOST INTENSE STORM WAS LOCATED ABOUT 13 MILES NORTH OF ROMA AND ALL OF THESE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST NORTHEAST AT NEAR 20 MPH. THESE STORMS WILL AFFECT THE TOWNS OF RIO GRANDE CITY AND EL SAUZ THROUGH 515 PM AND WILL PRODUCE LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER... SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.
