FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 900 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN NORTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS

   ...MIDDLESEX COUNTY

IN SOUTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS

   ...BRISTOL MA COUNTY

FLOOD WARNINGS ALSO REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR PLYMOUTH AND NORFOLK
COUNTIES IN EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR AND SATELLITE INFORMATION INDICATES
MORE BANDS OF HEAVY RAIN WILL FALL UPON SATURATED GROUND IN BRISTOL
AND MIDDLESEX COUNTIES.  THIS WILL LIKELY CAUSE SOME SMALL STREAMS
TO OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS.  AS OF 4 PM...OVER 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAD
FALLEN IN BRISTOL COUNTY AND AROUND 2 INCHES IN SOUTHEAST MIDDLESEX
COUNTY.

THIS IS THE TYPE OF SITUATION THAT CAN PLACE STRESS ON AGING
EARTHEN DAMS.  PEOPLE WHO LIVE JUST DOWNSTREAM FROM SUCH DAMS
SHOULD MONITOR THIS SITUATION VERY CLOSELY AND BE PREPARED TO
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND QUICKLY IF FLOOD WATERS THREATEN.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS.  THE WATER COULD
BE MUCH DEEPER THAN IT LOOKS.
