* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHERN HARTFORD COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT

* UNTIL 940 PM EDT

* AT 530 PM...THE QUINNIPIAC RIVER IN SOUTHINGTON WAS AT
  BANKFULL AS INDICATED BY THE GAGE ELEVATION OF 3.5 FEET.
  THIS RAPID RISE HAS BEEN IN RESPONSE TO THE 3 INCH RAINS
  OF EARLIER TODAY.

* THE RIVER WILL RISE OUT OF BANKS THIS EVENING AFFECTING
  PORTIONS OF SOUTHINGTON ALONG THE RIVERBANK.  MINOR
  FLOODING AFFECTS THIS AREA AT STAGES ABOVE 3.5 FEET.  BASED
  ON THE RIVER RATE OF RISE...THE RIVER MAY CREST ABOVE 4 FEET
  TONIGHT.

ANYONE LIVING ALONG THE RIVER THAT IS PRONE TO FLOODING AT STAGES
OF 4 TO 5 FEET SHOULD TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY TO PROTECT LIFE AND
