THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BINGHAMTON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CHEMUNG COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW YORK

* UNTIL 545 PM EDT

* AT 340 PM EDT... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN NEAR ELMIRA... MOVING EAST AT 20
  MPH.

RAIN GAGES AND DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES ONE TO ONE AND ONE HALF
INCHES OF RAIN /1.0 TO 1.5/ IS FALLING IN 30 MINUTES WITH THUS
THUUNDERSTORM. THIS RAINFALL WILL CAUSE STREAMS AND CREEKS TO COME
OUT OF THIER BANKS...AS WELL AS WIDESPREAD FLOODING OF LOW LYING AND
PDOOR DRAINAGE AREAS.
