FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
 
   ...SEQUOYAH COUNTY
 
AS OF 930 AM RADAR INDICATED THAT BETWEEN 1.5 AND 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAD
FALLEN THIS MORNING JUST NORTHEAST OF SALLISAW WITH BETWEEN
1 AND 1.5 INCHES NEAR MARBLE CITY.
 
HEAVY RAINS ARE LIKELY IN SEQUOYAH COUNTY THROUGH 1030 AM AND
THIS ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WILL LIKELY CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF LOW
AREAS...COUNTY ROADS AND SOME STREETS.
 
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT DRIVE YOUR
VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.  THE WATER
MAY BE TOO DEEP TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.  IF YOUR
VEHICLE GETS CAUGHT IN RISING WATER...ABANDONED IT QUICKLY.  THEN
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
