THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY UT HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 645 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTH CENTRAL UTAH

   ...WEST CENTRAL WAYNE COUNTY
 
AT 510 PM THE PARK RANGERS AT CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK REPORT
THAT SULPHUR CREEK CONTINUES TO RUN 6-8 FEET DEEP AS A RESULT OF
RECENT THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AREA.  DOWNSTREAM DRAINAGES WILL SEE
SUDDEN RISES OVER THE NEXT HOUR WITH HEAVY RUNOFF EVENTUALLY
REACHING THE FREMONT RIVER BETWEEN THE PARK AND CAINESVILLE UTAH
AFTER 630 PM.

THE SETTLEMENT OF NOTOM WILL BE IN THE PATH OF THE HEAVY RUNOFF AND
SHOULD MONITOR LEASANT CREEK CLOSELY OVE RTHE NEXT 60-90 MINUTES.
 
DO NOT TRY TO OUTRACE A FLASH FLOOD...EITHER ON FOOT OR IN YOUR
VEHICLE.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
