FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  200 PM CDT
FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...
 
IN NORTHWEST LOUISIANA

IN NORTHEAST TEXAS

AT 950 AM CDT...RAINFALL ESTIMATES FROM DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR IN
SHREVEPORT AND MEASUREMENTS FROM THE WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE AT THE
AIRPORT IN SHREVEPORT INDICATED FROM 1 TO 1 1/2 INCHES OF RAIN HAD
FALLEN FROM NEAR CARTHAGE TEXAS NORTHEAST TO NEAR BOSSIER CITY
LOUISIANA. THESE HEAVY RAINS WILL CONTINUE AS THUNDERSTORMS WILL
CONTINUE DEVELOPING AND MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST THROUGH THIS AREA
THROUGH 1100 AM THIS MORNING.
 
THESE HEAVY RAINS WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND SMALL
BAYOUS ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THE EARLY AFTERNOON.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
IMMEDIATELY.
 
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS I2F WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
