FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  100 AM CST
FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...
 
IN NORTHEAST TEXAS
 
   ...PANOLA COUNTY...SHELBY COUNTY
 
AT 900 PM CST DOPPLER RADAR IN SHREVEPORT INDICATED SCATTERED
TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHEAST TEXAS OVER
PANOLA AND SHELBY COUNTIES THAT CONTINUED TO DEVELOP AND SPREAD
OVER THE SAME GENERAL AREA. DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED THAT THIS
AREA HAS RECEIVED FROM TWO TO THREE INCHES FROM PREVIOUS RAINS
WITH AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT
COUPLE OF HOURS. WITH THE SOILS BECOMING NEAR SATURATED WATER
RUNOFF WILL BE RAPID WITH FLASH FLOODING EXPECTED.
 
THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT
NEAR 40 MPH.
 
 MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMO$BILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
