  LOW WATER AREAS NEAR THE LITTLE OSAGE RIVER
  ANY LOW WATER BRIDGES IN BOURBON COUNTY

* CAUSE AND EFFECT
  AT 730 PM...MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WAS OCCURRING ACROSS
  NORTHERN BOURBON COUNTY...GENERALLY FROM DEVON TO
  XENIA AND ALONG THE LITTLE OSAGE RIVER.

* FORECAST CONDITIONS
  THESE STORMS EXTEND BACK INTO SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND ARE
  MOVING EAST-SOUTHEAST AT 10 TO 15 MPH.  THIS WILL ALLOW
  FOR SOME FLOODING TO OCCUR OVER BOURBON COUNTY.  DOPPLER WEATHER
  RADAR INDICATED 1 AND ONE HALF INCHES FELL FROM DEVON TO XENIA FROM
  650 TO 730 PM.
 
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILE$S.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
