THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD
WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
LOCATIONS...

IN WESTERN NEVADA 
     ALL STOREY COUNTY 
     ...INCLUDING MUSTANG...PATRICK...VIRGINIA CITY AND GOLD 
        HILL.

     NORTHWESTERN LYON COUNTY 
     ...INCLUDING THE TOWN OF FERNLEY.

     NORTHERN DOUGLAS COUNTY 
     ...INCLUDING THE COMMUNITIES OF GLENBROOK...GENOA AND THE 
        JOHNSON LANE AREA.


DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM LOCATED OVER THE
PINE NUT MOUNTAINS EAST OF THE MINDEN-GARDNERVILLE AREA AND
LIKELY PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN...HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS.  THE STORM
WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AND WILL MOVE INTO SOUTHERN STOREY-
NORTHWESTERN LYON COUNTIES BY 4 PM.  

THE STORM RUNOFF WILL LIKELY IMPACT THE JOHNSON LANE AREA BETWEEN
430 AND 5 PM.

PEOPLE IN THE WARNING AREA SHOULD AVOID WASHES AND SMALL STREAMS. 
AVOID FLOODED AREAS IF YOU ARE DRIVING.  SEEK SHELTER INDOORS IF
POSSIBLE AND STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
