THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN NEW JERSEY

   ...MIDDLESEX COUNTY
 
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE/S DOPPLER RADAR RAINFALL
ESTIMATED BETWEEN 2.5 AND 3.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER PARTS OF
EASTERN MIDDLESEX COUNTY DURING THE PAST HOUR.  REPORTS HAVE
BEEN RECEIVED OF SEVERE STREET FLOODING IN THE SAYREVILLE AREA.
ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN IS LIKELY ACROSS EASTERN PARTS OF THE COUNTY
THROUGH 945 PM.  CONSIDERABLE PONDING OF WATER IN LOW-LYING AREAS WILL
CONTINUE AS WELL FLOODING OF SOME OF THE SMALLER STREAMS.

IF YOU ARE IN AN AREA PRONE TO FLOODING...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND
IMMEDIATELY...BEFORE YOUR ACCESS IS CUT OFF BY RISING FLOOD WATERS.
DO NOT TAKE ROADS THAT ARE PRONE TO FLOODING SUCH AS U.S. ROUTE 9
IN PERT AMBOY AND NJ STATE ROUTE 440.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS. THE WATER MAY BE
DEEPER THAN YOU THINK. RAPIDLY RISING WATERS CAN QUICKLY ENGULF
YOUR VEHICLE AND ITS OCCUPANTS. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...ABANDON IT
AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND QUICKLY.  DO NOT MOVE BARRICADES.
