FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  800 PM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST NEW YORK
 
   ...SOUTHEASTERN ROCKLAND COUNTY
 
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE TO EFFECT SOUTHEASTERN
ROCKLAND COUNTY. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 4 TO 5
INCHES HAVE FALLEN OVER THE WARNING AREA IN THE PAST THREE HOURS.
THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THE SAME PATH ACROSS THE SOUTHERN
HALF OF THE COUNTY. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL REPORTS OF WIDESPREAD
STREET FLOODING. STREAMS AND BROOKS HAVE EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT
RISES WITH SOME OVERFLOWING THEIR BANKS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
