THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  115 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTH ALABAMA

AT 1210 PM CST...NWS DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR IN MOBILE INDICATED A
DEVELOPING LINE OF SCATTERED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THAT WERE PRODUCING
LARGE HAIL. THIS LINE WAS DEVELOPING FROM SOUTHERN COVINGTON COUNTY
ALABAMA SOUTWEST TO PENSACOLA FLORIDA. INDIVIDUAL STORMS WERE MOVING
EAST-NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.
 
A SEVERE STORM WAS ENTERING SOUTHWEST COVINGTON COUNTY AND WILL MOVE TO
10 MILES SOUTH OF OPP, ALABAMA BY 115 PM CST.  THREE SEVERE STORM WILL
ENTER OKALOOSA COUNTY...ALONG AND NORTH OF I-10 AND WILL MOVE OVER THE
NORTH PORTION OF THE COUNTY THROUGH 115 PM CST. AGAIN..LARGE HAIL IS THE
MAIN THREAT FROM THESE STORMS.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
