000 TTAA00 KMLB 271458 RRA TORMLB FLC117-271600- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MELBOURNE FL 959 AM EST MON OCT 27 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE FL HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 AM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA ...SEMINOLE COUNTY AT 955 AM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATE A TORNADIC CIRCULATION 5 MILES WEST OF WINTER GARDEN. THE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING THIS TORNADO HAS RAPIDLY INCREASED IN SPEED AND WILL MOVE FROM AREAS FROM JUST WEST OF WINTER GARDEN...SOUTH LAKE APOPKA....THE CITY OF APOPKA AND INTO WESTERN SEMINOLE COUNTY INTO LONGWOOD...ALTAMONTE SPRINGS AREA. THE STORMS ARE NOW MOVING EAST NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH. THIS STORM WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING VERY DAMAGING WINDS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.
