THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE FL HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 755 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA

   ...VOLUSIA COUNTY
 
AT 651 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
ALONG THE FLAGLER/VOLUSIA COUNTY LINE 10 MILES WEST OF DAYTONA
BEACH. THE THUNDERSTORM WAS DROPPING SOUTH ALONG THE SEA BREEZE
FRONT AND WILL MOVE SOUTH AT 15 MPH THROUGH THE COUNTY THROUGH 7 PM.
OTHER RAPIDLY INTENSIFYING STORMS WILL ALSO AFFECT AREAS FROM PIERSON
TO BARBERVILLE.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 58
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
