FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 AM CST THURSDAY
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN
 
   ...LAFAYETTE COUNTY
 
AT 920 PM CDT THE RIVER STAGE AT DARLINGTON IN THE PECATONICA RIVER IN
LAFAYETTE COUNTY WAS 12.7 FEET. FLOOD STAGE IS 11 FEET. THE RIVER IS
FORECAST TO CREST AT 13.5 FEET OVERNIGHT.
 
MINOR URBAN FLOODING IS EXPECTED IN THE CITY OF DARLINGTON ALONG MAIN
STREET (HIGHWAY 23).
 
THE FLOODING IS BEING CAUSED BY RUNOFF DUE TO MELTING SNOW.  NO RAIN IS
EXPECTED THROUGH NOON THURSDAY.
 
DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD!
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO
RECOGNIZE THE DANGER OF FLOODING.
