THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO AND SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  900 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......
 
IN SOUTHEAST FLORIDA
 
   ...EASTERN PALM BEACH COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS BETWEEN JUPITER INLET AND
DEERFIELD BEACH.
 
 
PALM BEACH COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE REPORTS THAT MULTIPLE WATERSPOUTS
WERE OBSERVED FORMING AND MOVING EASTWARD OVER THE IMMEDIATE COAST
OF PALM BEACH COUNTY NEAR THE CITY OF SOUTH PALM BEACH... JUST
NORTH OF LANTANA. POSSIBLE TORNADOS MAY ALSO FORM NEAR THE COAST.
 
THESE ARE ASSOCIATED WITH MODERATELY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS AND
THREATEN BOATER SAFETY IN THE IMMEDIATE COASTAL WATERS FOR THE
NEXT HOUR. THE PUBLIC SHOULD ALSO TAKE PRECAUTIONS TO SEEK SHELTER
IN THESE BEACH AREAS FOR THEN NEXT HOUR.
 
MOVEMENT OF THE WATERSPOUTS IS ESTIMATED TO BE TO THE NORTHEAST
AT 18 TO 24 MPH.
 
WATCH FOR SIGNS OF DEVELOPING SEVERE STORMS.  HAILSTONES AND
UNUSUALLY LOW SWIRLING CLOUDS ARE OFTEN SEEN NEAR DEVELOPING
TORNADOES.  STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND TORNADOES OFTEN PRODUCE
A LOUD ROARING SOUND LIKE A TRAIN.  FREQUENT LIGHTNING OCCURS
NEAR THE MOST SEVERE PART OF THE THUNDERSTORM.
